Coconut & Fruit Protein Shake
Ready in moments, this dairy-free protein shake is super creamy.
Even people who tolerate dairy report less bloating with a plant-based protein powder compared to a whey-based powder.
This is one of many variations of our dairy-free protein shakes. We use different kinds of milk for different shakes, depending on the flavors, but we always have coconut milk at the ready. It is super for reducing inflammation and dosing the body up with beneficial fats and other nutrients.
Did you know that lauric acid in coconut milk is a natural antibiotic? It helps the body fight off any bacteria and coupled with caprylic acid, it is such a great anti-fungal food.
It is a delicious option for breakfast or snack/post-workout, especially because of the potassium (which is also present in the coconut milk) - aiding muscle and nerve health, regulating blood pressure and water balance.
Add a frozen banana for extra sweetness and creaminess.
